Sudden cardiac arrest and successful defibrillation by an ICD of Anthony Van Loo

Anthony Van Loo is an young Belgian football player who was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in 2008 and implanted an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator). In 2009 during a match he developed a potentially fatal cardiac arrhythmia and lost consciousness but was successfully resuscitated by his ICD. The shock delivered by the ICD can be appreciated by the sudden leg movement of the player.
